Chinese Chubby Kid Poster

This Chinese propaganda poster features a chubby healthy Chinese kid playing a toy and putting pieces together. Titled "Step by Step", this non political themed poster was a reflection of changes in Chinese political atmosphere shortly after Chinese Cultural Revolution. Post Cultural Revolution, school education system was re-established, and kids are returning to school. There was an re-emphasis in school education and one child policy. The chubby kid image was one that advocated by the Chinese government as she was perceived as well fed and healthy.
