Mao
and his successor HuaGuoFeng
Towards the end of Cultural Revolution, China went through an extremely embarrassing stage whereby a useless leader was appointed by Mao. Mao, realizing his deteriorating health problems, identified a man named HuaGuoFeng to succeed him. Hua had little political experience and at the time was a vice governor of HuNan province, where Mao grew up. No one not even within Mao's circles thought of Hua as a likely candidate, however, Hua was trusted by Mao and was appointed to be the next chairman. His lack of ability promised his term to be a short one, however, during Mao's campaign to appoint Hua, a famous slogan was developed by Mao that said the following: "If it's you who's taking care of it, I will not have to worry". Though Hua is long gone, the slogan stayed on to become a Chinese idiom to refer to those whose ability is rather limited and should NOT be trusted. This RARE poster was a present from Inner Mongolia Revolution Committee to the Inner Mongolian PLA army veterans with honor, deceased PLA soldiers' dependents, and other PLA army soldiers with honor. In addition to Chinese, Mongolian language was seen side to side. In addition to the image being rare to find, the poster that originally belonged to an Inner Mongolian (A minority Chinese group) PLA veteran made this poster an even more unusual.
