This unique sculpture depicts two red guards holding down an alleged counter-revolutionary. The female red guards holding a microphone in one hand and a red book on another hand, clearing describing a familiar scene during Cultural Revolution. The man kneeling down wears a white hat that had “counter-revolutionary” written on it. The Scholar, who's kneeling down, is also wearing a board that states the following: "Down with Counter-Revolutionary Capitalist". A gruesome image that is too familiar to many Chinese who survived the Cultural Revolution, also known as "the 10 Years of Chaos".
